Areilla: Sue Mue’s Autumn Winter Collection 2017
Wedding season is around the corner, and I’m excited to see what’s new this time. I couldn’t hold myself from attending the launch of Sue Mue’s latest collection. This Autumn Winter collection is called, Ariella.
Areilla well defines a woman who is a traveler , who is fearless, and proud of herself. She is a woman who lives on today. This collection is inspired by the grandest monuments in Spain, Alhambra. The Moorish poets called it as, “pearl set in emeralds“, surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Areilla Couture : Sue Mue
Talking about Areilla Coutoure, it was inspired by Gate of Arms, the Mosaic pattern from Tower of Princesses, & the Court of Lions. This collection had an amazing range of Lehengas, Saree, Sharara & Palazzos.
What I loved the most about the couture was incorporation of Velvet, in most of the pieces, from Shawl to Blouses.. Velvet is that perfect type of fabric that you would like to adorn in winter weddings. Apart from this Raw Silk, Georgette, and Crepe with Zardozi, Ari work & Mukaish were seen in the collection.
The color palette was inspired by the Arabic culture, hence, hues of Greens, Blues, Deep Mustard & Pearly White were used. The blouse of the Sharara or even the Saree had bell sleeves, cold shoulder, and full sleeves, keeping the Autumn Winter theme in mind.
Areilla Pret: Sue Mue
Coming next to the Areilla Pret, it is definitely for ladies who like to wear something on the lighter side. The Pret is collection is meant to be a contrast to the couture. Fabrics like Handloom Silk, Georgette, and Crepe were used for Anarkalis, Dresses, Skirts , Pants , & Kaftans. This collection has more of Thread work, Prints, Dabka & Zardozi Dori work done. The geometrical patterns were well infused, reflecting the Moroccan art.
