Barbie In Cruel World : Not A Barbie World
How many of you have played with Barbie Dolls? How many of you hated her, like my brother for obvious reasons? There was a time I used to love Barbie dolls, so much that I thought Barbie world really exists. But as we grow older, we realise that life is definitely not easy. It’s similar to a Barbie living in a cruel world. Just wanted to put a point here that every person has his/her comfort zone, “the Barbie world”, but unless or until you leave that world, you won’t be able to succeed.
People who haven’t struggled haven’t realised the importance of success. I remember the day I started blogging, people used to make fun of how I dress up. At one point of time, even I thought that I should quit all this because people are not accepting the way I dress up, or the way I do my make up. But with time I realised, that this is how it goes. Initially, it’ll be tough, you have to accept that constructive criticism and let go of the ones that make no sense.
I had to leave my comfort of blogging once a month. Realised that just by chasing brands and going to an event in a month, won’t help me. I know there are people who still don’t like my work, brands who still think that I shouldn’t charge. But that’s ok, I will work, I will put all my efforts, not to make the people happy, but to be where I always wanted to. Now after a year of blogging, I feel that I have done something, if not everything in this industry.
You just can’t live in a Barbie world for a longer period of time, get up, chase your dreams, do some hard work. In this process, if someone tries to pull you down, don’t lose your patience, because you know that they are below you for a reason.
This blog post is just to tell all my followers to do good with their lives by doing hard work, to leave their comfort zone, to face the reality, to make your own presence in this world.
After all the struggle, one day it will be a “Barbie World” for sure.
