Mandap Pop Up Event : Four Points By Sheraton
The wedding season is finally here and I’m so excited. I kinda love this time of the year, I think it’s that time of the year when everyone is talking about clothes, jewelry, cocktail parties and stuff.
I believe that when it comes to wedding, the decor plays an important role. Just to have a glimpse of what the wedding designers are upto this season, I went to the Mandap Pop Up Event, held in Four Points By Sheraton, New Delhi.
The first one was by Abhinav Bhagat:
These hanging lanterns was a Thai touch to an Indian wedding. It was different yet simple at the same time.
The next one was by Designers Events Inc:
The best part about this Pyramid Mandap was the Pom-Pom. We all know pom-pom are so in these days, from clothes to jewelry, you will see these everywhere. Never thought would get to see this trend in the Mandaps as well. The other thing that caught my attention was this kettle , which was covered with Gotta. Wow, isn’t that amazing!!!
Third one was by RashiNidhi EDB
As you can see this Mandap is full of candles & red roses . The theme was Infinity Of Love, if you check the last picture, it only has one candle but the effect which has been created with the help of glasses , makes it look like Infinite Candles in a row. I think that’s the USP of this Mandap. Red roses are an important part of any wedding ceremony, and they incorporated roses very well in this theme.
Let’s look at the next one by Devika Sakhuja :
This Mandap has to be one of my favorites. Being a Punjabi, I personally loved the Phulkari effect. The colors are so vibrant & look so beautiful. The flower hangings completed the look so well. This Mandap looked quirky & can take anyone back to the roots.
The other one which was inspired by a lot of gotta was by Weddings by Eventwala:
This mandap had this huge chandelier in the center. Creamy Ivory tones were used with that tangerine color to keep it simple and elegant. A lot of use of Flower hangings was seen.
So the one below is by The Factory , looked no less than a dreamland:
This mandap was definitely a big Yes for a beach wedding, was completely awe-struck. The colors, blue, white & red complimented each other so well. Everything was so fairy like, be it the white curtains or those red pillows lying around.
The next one is by Shaadi Planners:
This one was different because of the painting at the back , did you see that? Isn’t is so beautiful. Perfect for a day wedding as well. The flowers were only seen on the pillars of the mandap. This design reminded me of the Bollywood Movie, “2 States”..
And here is the last one by Buds & Blooms:
This mandap not just had the flower hangings but the bells as well. These golden bells looked so beautiful and perfectly complimented the golden and red theme of the mandap. Did you notice those kundan earrings on the pillar, isn’t that so pretty?? Curtains were used in metallic tones.
So this is what the Mandap Pop Up event was all about!!! Hope you’ve enjoyed reading.
