Diwali 2016 : A Modern Twist To Saree

Hi people!!! Happyyyy Diwaliii

How are you all doing these days??? Excited for Shopping?? Sweets??

So these questions must have been going around in your head since 1 week now. Right ?? Diwali is one festival which makes me go crazy, be it for clothes or sweets or in fact card party.

I’m sure you are sitting in the corner of your almirah, with all those ethnic clothes lying on the floor, super confused as to what to wear.

Well, this Diwali I tried to give a modern twist to my mom’s old Saree, which is not too old. I thought of wrapping a Red Silk Saree around a Silk Salwaar, and not a petticoat. This Silk Salwaar also belongs to my mom. This is the reason , I tell her that I don’t have many clothes, but she never believes me, alas!!!

Red Silk Saree , Golden Blouse, Golden Heels

I started my Saree from the pleats, and then wrapping around in such a way that it looks like a dhoti from the other end, keeping it loose and fluffy. Trust me you will need loads of pins but then it’s super easy to carry.

Unfortunately the pictures came out bit hazzy, I’m going to buy a DSLR very soon ,yayayya.

By the way, I own this golden blouse, finally, LOL..

Maybelline Lipstick, Lakme Eyeconic Kohl, Lakme Eyeliner, Maybelline Super Curl Mascara

I kept the jewelry minimal, as you can see I’m wearing these pretty Golden & Red Chaandbaalis from Genas.
