Sue Mue’s Spring Summer Collection : ALBELI
Hope you guys had an amazing weekend!!
The other day I got an invite for the launch of Sue Mue’s latest Spring-Summer collection, Albeli.
Albeli is inspired by the beauty of a free bird. The silhouettes were quite modern and sophisticated. Lot of soft pastels have been used like, Icey blue, peach, & pink, which is quite soothing to eyes, and perfect for summers.
Cottons, Mulmuls, Orgenza, and Net was used in many of the pieces of couture collection, making the outfits look adorable. The best of all was the intricate designs on the neckline and sleeves. Low backs gave a modern touch to the traditional outfits.
Bell sleeves were a part of the collection , keeping in mind the theme, free bird.
The bottoms were quite flowy which added a lot of volume to the dresses.
The other thing which caught my attention was different types of Lucknowi Thread work:
Tepchi Taanka: traditionally done only by hand on Chikankari garments.
Zardozi: metal embroidery , using silver and gold threads. Zar means gold and dozi means embroidery.
Mukaish: embroidery that involves twisting thin metallic threads to create a pattern on fabric.
It takes approximately 2 hours to 2 days to make 1 motif!!!
Few peices from the Albeli Pret Collection:
Sue-Mue is a bespoke store, that means you can easily get your outfit customized.
Now that the wedding season is still on, go ahead and buy these beautiful pieces from Sue Mue, located in Green Park, New Delhi.
